Dromin Painting November / December 2026

As part of marking the 200th anniversary of the church, the painting of the interior of St. Finian’s Church, Dromin began in late October 2026.

It is hoped to have this work completed by Christmas 2026. Thank you for your support, patience and understanding while this work is being carried out.

Will the Church Stay Open to the Public?

As much as possible, it is hoped to keep the church open for prayer. Access to the church may be restricted to certain doors – this will be signpopsted on the doors.

At times, it will become necessary to close the church for health and safety reasons and / or to allow the work to proceed more efficiently.

The first of these closures to the public will be from Tuesday October 27th until Saturday October 31st. 

What about Sunday Masses at 10.30am?

It is envisaged that the church will remain available for the weekly celebration of Sunday Mass at 10.30am. There will be one Sunday where this is not possible.

This will be communicated here once it is known.
