Have your say about your Catholic School

All parents, guardians, teachers and board members are encouraged to complete the Primary School Survey that the Department of Education is currently carrying out

The purpose of this video is to alert parents, teachers and Board of Management members that the Department of Education is currently carrying out a Primary School Survey that will help determine the future of Primary Schools and crucially could lead to changes in your school. In simple terms, you are being asked if you would like your school to stay a Catholic school or if you would like that to change.

All parents, guardians, teachers and board members are encouraged to complete the survey. It is important that the voices of those seeking change are heard, but it is equally important to hear from those of you who value your local Catholic school and the way it supports your child’s education

The values learned at school shape who our children become. A faith-based environment can offer young people a strong foundation in the world that they are growing up in today. Our message today is don’t leave it to others. If you want your school to stay a Catholic School, then make sure and have your say.

The survey is open until 16 December 2025. To take part, visit www.gov.ie/primaryschoolsurvey.

It only takes a few minutes to complete and it will make a lasting difference.
