Have you noticed our new parish work of art?

Sincere thanks to the pupils from 6th Class in Scoil Bhríde, to Ms. Moroney and Mr. Moore, and to Dunleer Tidy Towns for all the help and support and creativity!

This was done as part of the parish’s commitment to an initiative through the Irish Bishops’ Confererence and in conjunction with Louth County Council to strive to return 30% of church grounds to nature by 2030. One way we’re doing this is opening the grounds around the parochial house to become more biodiverse and wildlife-friendly.

This year’s 6th class in Scoil Bhríde leapt at the opportunity and also we thought it was important to mark the death of Pope Francis, who wrote the document “Laudato Si – Caring for Our Common Home”. A couple of his quotes are included in the artwork.
