Service of Light 2027

As our Confirmation children continue their journey towards the Sacrament of Confirmation, we invite them and their families to a special Service of Light on Thursday, March 11th at 7.00pm in St. Brigid’s Church, Dunleer.

The Service of Light reminds us of the light of Christ that each child first received at Baptism. As they prepare to receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit in Confirmation, we gather as a parish community to pray for them and to ask the Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen them.

Sponsors are asked to be present with their Confirmation child for this special service, as we pray together for the journey ahead.

It is a simple but beautiful moment in their journey — reminding our young people that they are called to receive Christ’s light, live by it and share it with others.

“You are the light of the world.” — Matthew 5:14

We look forward to welcoming our Confirmation children, their sponsors and their families as we continue this journey together.
