The Saint Vincent De Paul Society is one of the oldest and most effective organisations in any parish. In the spirit of Saint Vincent, they reach out to individuals or families in need. They meet regularly and visit homes that request help.

Special efforts are made at Christmas to relieve the pressure on needy families by the holding of special collections. The Society works discreetly and in tandem with other branches throughout the area. It also reaches out in a special way to the elderly, organising panic-buttons and similar facilities to those who live alone or in an isolated place.
